Farmer-owned retail operations

Hello everyone,
I have a request for case studies of farmers who market their own and
other locally produced ag products through farmer-owned retail
outlets on-farm or in town. The caller is particularly interested in
dairy value-adding enterprises. I've referred him to the
coordinator of the SARE-funded Hometown Creamery Revival project
which is gathering this type of information, but I wonder if any of
you can point me to other good sources of these kinds of case
studies?
