Northeast SARE Seeking Technical Committee Nominations
The Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program will
soon have three openings on its Technical Committee. Members of the
Northeast SARE Technical Committee review grant proposals and advise the
SARE leadership on a range of topics that may affect program development.
Nominees should be active in the agricultural community and have an
understanding of the issues in sustainable agriculture. Materials on the
SARE mission and the work being done by the program are available from the
Northeast Region office at the address below, and at www.uvm.edu/~nesare/.
The open positions are in the following areas:
An agricultural economist;
A rural sociologist;
A farmer raising horticultural crops
Appointments to the Northeast SARE Technical Committee run three years. The
commitment includes one meeting a year (in mid March) and the time involved
in evaluating grant proposals before the meeting. Costs associated with
attending the meeting are paid by the program.
