I know of no move, here in Canada, to ban human consumption of Canola oil.
The May 1999, Vol 15, Issue 8, of the University of California , Berkeley,
Wellness Letter, reports on the apparent beneficial effect of Canola oil in
preventing heart attacks, and recommends it's use.

I'm guessing that this stems from some confusion about the potential health
impacts of genetically engineered canola, but I ask my Canadian colleagues
anyway. Are you fixin' to ban canola oil?
