In many north eastern states farmers vacinate all animals against
rabies, as there are rabid racoons aplenty (not as many as 5 years ago,
as they keep dying ;-)
The only problem with CT is that the State calls for certification in
order to vacinate, so the cost is $10 not $2- (a little prohibitive for
a couple of hundred sheep)- but, many buy there vacine in the midwest
and do it anyhow.

I highly recommend vacinating your animals if there is rabies in your
area! it is a nasty disease.
