Howdy, all--

Considering that for some of us (including me) that term also
carries the connotation of a huge, mean, disconnected, self-absorbed
entity that beats up on people--including those much smaller than
itself--to Get More Stuff For Itself...yep, I'd say it's got value
as a term. But I'd be aware of the possibility of pursuit by MIBs
(Men in Blue) from the legal dept. of Tyson. Those sorts are
singularly humorless. (If they had a sense of humor they could never
wear pinstripes--it's a cosmic law.)

I'm thinking as I write of humor columnist Dave Barry's term,
"rooster mode," to refer to the state of being where males lose
track of anything other than proving they're Number One--like doing
stupid, destructive, meaningless, pointless, or dangerous activities.
(Hey, don't squawk at me--it was a guy who said this; I'm merely
reporting his insider view; you can complain to him, Dave Barry, c/o
The Miami Times.) Anyway, Roosterization kinda works as a term.

I will stop now, before the urge to play with the idea of Superman
with a cape on leads me to say something I'll later regret.

Yours musingly--
