I agree that Avery is misinformed and misdirected, but he is also well
known and even (yikes) respected by people in this country of ours, and so
i think that it behooves us to discuss, refute, analyze and disect what he
says. Sometime soon we may be called upon to talk about these issues, and
I for one don't have all the answers--anything another person has to offer
is good for me. And in addition, I think that it is respectful at the
least, and even imperative, to civil society to allow for the airing of
all opinions, no matter how distasteful they are to our own sensibilities.
For example, I don't believe in your "Creator" reclaiming "Eden", but I
believe in not "dismissing such talk without a second thought".
