We are proud to invite you to attend the International Rice Genetics
and Breeding Symposium which will be held on 16-18 October, 1999 in
Hangzhou, China, one of most popular tourist destination in the world.
Hangzhou is a very beautiful city. As a part of the city, the West Lake is
attractive for tourists by its scenery and by the stories with a rich
cultural and historical background. October is a golden season. Rice in
central China is coming to be harvested. It is when and where we gather
together to discuss rice science. In the meeting, we will discuss RICE
genetics and breeding, particular in "super rice". The activities include
plenary sessions, oral presentations, poster sessions, and visiting for
showing research progress, exchanging scientific information, and
strengthening international collaboration in rice. Please join us and meet
your colleagues and friends in China. Next century is coming. Let us to
