A year or two back, I ran across a listing of introduction dates for various pest-control agents and the year that resistance was first noted. Unfortunately, I can't seem to uncover the list right now, due to a laughably inadequate filing "system"; however, I seem to recall that Bt resistance was recorded more than ten years ago. This implies that the genes for resistance are likely floating around out there just waiting for pressure to promote their spread -- whether it be increased Bt spraying or, more likely, Bt GMOs.
