Dale: perhaps you might want to consider actually reading some of
the 118 articles you think might relate. I have probably cited more
than that in the last few talks I've given on the subject - and many
point to the seriousness of the issues. Now, is it conceivable that
you are telling us that 118 references is a sufficient database to
assess the potential of all kinds of GMO risk? I could probably,
with a little time, think up 118 distinct GMO risks, and in the best
scientific method, would not be willing to come to a meaningful
conclusion on such a skimpy database.

There are a few excellent centers of investigation on GMO risk, but
they are laboring under much shorter rations than their well
provisioned pro-GMO colleagues. I applaud their willingness to
continue their much-needed work in a funding environment that is so
plainly hostile and one-sided.

You and your colleagues in industry are, at some point, going to have
to stop pretending, obfustacating, obscuring, and denying the issues.
I don't think there is much point in continuing to prolong this
dialogue. Ann
