If you think back to the earlier GMO posts on this listerv you will recall
the US origin multinationals like Monsanto and Dupont are balanced by at
least an equivalent number of European multinationals like Novartis and
Zenaca. US multinationals might be more pushy or obnoxious in trying to
shove Frankenfoods down peoples throats. This is probably because the US
market has been such a pushover no doubt aided by having their former staff
members in the FDA reviewing their old private sector projects, like
happened with rBGH.

Unfortunately, Monsanto et al have had there way in the US and we are
eating GMO's now without any freedom to choose or even our informed
consent. We have not had a Mad Cow outbreak here and until we do, I don't
see any need to put more marketing effort in the US market; they already
have a unregulated market with complete acceptance of their products. Mike
