Emphasis of research is in developing sustainable methodologies to enhance
small producer profitability. The primary responsibilities of the Swine
Unit Manager focus on undergraduate and graduate instruction, research and
community service. The individual is responsible for assisting in design,
implementation, and analysis of swine research projects. He/she is
responsible for the day to day operation and management of a 160-sow
confinement facility as well as an outdoor, integrated crop/animal system.
