Kate, do I belong in this group? I'm the one who gathers all the ideas
and information from others, modifies with more research to fit my 1000
acre organic farm for profit.
I have been working ( with great pleasure ) on my model for 37
years. I look across paradise and see so much beauty from working with
nature, and yet so much to do.
Louis Bromfield"s Pleasant Valley and "My 90 ACRES" was a big
influence in what I believe. I've been active in sustainable ag a long
time. The formation of NSAS ( Nebraska Sustainable Ag Society )
,Testified before the House Ag Committee for funding the LISA Program,
involved with Rodale and The New Farm Magazine, and promoted sustainable
farming in local magazines, newspapers, and radio.
I guess I was born with a over active mind filled with ideas, most
don't work however I have fun trying on this south central Nebraska
farm.
Other interests are living a healthy lifestyle, running 5 and 10 K
and a marathon amateur radio and aviation.
