MACOMB, IL (April 23, 1999) - Local singer-songwriter Steve
Axley will be releasing his latest creation on this upcoming
Earth Day event at Macomb High School, Saturday April 24,
1999.
As part of local Earth Day activities, local environmentally
concerned group SOLE (Save Our Land & Environment) will be
presenting a display of what has been happening in our
agricultural industry. Part of the display will feature the
audio presentation of Steve Axley's CD "Factory Pigs" and
T-Shirts of the "infamous" Factory Pig.

The CD will be available on Saturday for purchase.
Net proceeds will be used by SOLE for future projects.

Steve Axley, from Macomb, IL is a singer-songwriter with
musical roots in Oklahoma. Three of his songs have been
recorded in Nashville and released in Europe by Jerry Hanlon
on UAR Records, an independent label. One of his songs-
"Oowee Oowee", a comical look at forgetting the words to a
song in a live performance, based on an actual experience-
was the title cut of a CD of novelty songs Hanlon released
in Europe, summer '98. The song achieved top-ten status on
the indie charts in parts of Europe in late '98 and early
'99.

Steve Axley has been a regular performer with the Macomb
Unplugged Living Room Concert Series.
