I think you are right. I have grown many kinds of vegetables in my own
garden, and I work with corn in my job. I think food is amazingly
inexpensive, ridiculously inexpensive, given all the effort, the expertise
required, and everything that can go wrong. A person in the U.S. could eat
for ten dollars a week if they had to.
