Howdy, all--

I trust that many of you know more about this than I do, since I was
gone from Friday a.m. thru Monday afternoon. You probably already
know about the outbreak of a computer virus or worm called Melissa or
Mailissa, which appeared over the weekend and infected many machines
very quickly. But in case you haven't heard about it, don't panic,
millennial jitters notwithstanding. And read this handy CNN Tech
sheet.

There are links at the bottom to other stories.

The short version of the above:

FOR THE LOVE OF LEFSE
HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU
BUT DON'T OPEN THOSE GAD-BLAMED MS-WORD ATTACHMENTS
TO E-MAIL.

PERIOD.

:^)

Some of you have asked me often for recommendations for anti-virus
software. This is as good a list, with links, as I've seen anywhere:

I personally run Command Anti-Virus (by F-PROT), which I don't like
as well as McAfee, but Command is what our AAE network makes
available, so Command is what we use.

peace
