You have some very good points Greg (including much of what I clipped
out). I would like to take minor exception with one point though.
Democracy when applied to anything larger than a small community, is too
unwieldy to work and is only one very small step above anarchy.

What we are supposed to have in the US (and no longer do have) is a
Republic. I will not attempt to go into the differences here, nor how we
got away from the original republic to the current modified democracy with
the extremely powerful corporations actually running things from behind the
scenes for the indecent profit for a few elite. But a part of the methods
used are the same as those being used to attempt to justify the use of
prison labor for profit. And a controlled press is a major part of that.
