What ever venture? Guns, drugs, tobacco, nuclear energy, agricultural and
societal poisons, perverted entertainment and junk food?

How does anyone DESERVE a reasonable profit on those ventures?

It is in choosing what we will do and what we will not do that we can make
a reasonable future. Unless we include social and health (human and
ecosystem) costs and Second Law efficiency along with economic
considerations, capitalism (especially when corporate-controlled and
government-subsidized) looks to be terminally destructive.
