Well, if that don't beat all. Back before they come up with Heat Wave, Hell
Beater and Sun Defier, tomato varieties, we used to grow Porter tomatoes down
here in the Heat Belt. Problem with those Porters was that they were pink. And
they were semi-determinate. But you couldn't sell them, because tomatoes are
supposed to be fire-engine red, not pink. I guess they should have just got
stuffed in an air-can and flown to Tokyo instead.
