GRADUATE STUDENT AWARD
IN SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
The Southern SARE Program on Sustainable Agriculture Research
and Education is requesting proposals for Graduate Student
research projects that address issues of sustainable agriculture of
current and potential importance to the Southern Region and the
nation. The maximum limits for Southern SARE Graduate Student
Awards in Sustainable Agriculture are $10,000 and no more than
three years duration. A candidate may receive only one Southern
SARE Graduate Student Award during her or his graduate student
career. The Southern SARE program<bold> </bold>will only consider proposals
submitted, and to be conducted, by graduate students (masters and
Ph.D.) enrolled at an accredited college or university in the Southern
Region. The deadline for proposals to be received in the Southern
Region SARE office is December 8, 1999. Full information can be
found in the Call for Proposals.
The Southern Region is comprised of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida,
Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina,
Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Puerto Rico
and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
