Hi all-
Just finished listening to a story on National Public Radio - All Things
Considered about Monsanto's difficulties with selling the world on GE
seeds. Much of the story was Monsanto reps talking about what a blessing
Roundup Ready and seeds with Bt are to farmers. The rest covered
resistance in the UK and India, and some discussion of terminator
technology. Except for a BRIEF interview with Hope Shand from RAFI, there
was inadequate explanation of the potential adverse consequences of GE.
Another segment on Monsanto/GE is scheduled for tomorrow (3/17) on All
Things Considered. I'm about to scurry around getting some hard data to
send in my response to the story - does anyone have any suggestions for a
concise but really thorough stats on GE? Would love to hear other
people's impressions of the story too - anybody hear it?

Thanks!
