As one of those PhD nit-pickers, I'd like to suggest that, instead of "strives to support", the definition should say "results in" or "contributes to". Maybe this preference of mine is because I like results rather than intentions.
Alternatively, to remove the orientation on practices, you could just say, "Sustainable agriculture supports (or contributes to?) the environmental, social,..."
