Dale: have a look at Garry, V.F., D. Schreinemachers, M.E. Harkins,
and J. Griffith. 1996. Pesticide appliers, biocides, and birth
defects in rural Minnesota. Environmental Health Perspectives
104(4).

I'd be interested in your professional assessment, posted publicly to
the list, of the objectivity of the study, and the significance of
the risks identified in the study not just to the unfortunate
offspring of the licensed pesticide applicators, but to the children
of people living in the more pesticide-dense agricultural regions of
the state. Ann
