IPM Colleagues,
The National Biological Control Institute has announced requests for
proposals for competitive grants/cooperative agreements in three areas.
Facilitation Grant and Cooperative Agreement Program - Closes on March 26,
1999
The NBCI Facilitation Grant and Cooperative Agreement Program offers
Federal financial assistance to cooperators to facilitate information,
education, or
communications needs of the biological control community. Generally,
funding available under this program will be allocated to proposals under
$5,000.
Implementation Grant and Cooperative Agreement Program - Closes on March
12, 1999
The NBCI Implementation Grant and Cooperative Agreement Program offers
Federal financial assistance for groups to form partnerships to increase
and improve
biological control implementation. Generally, funding available under this
program will be allocated to proposals under $15,000.
Postdoctoral Program in Systematics - Closes on April 09, 1999
The NBCI Post-Doctoral Fellowship Grant and Cooperative Agreement Program
is specific to Systematics and offers federal financial assistance for
studies in
Systematics of organisms of critical importance to the biological control
of agricultural pests. This program offers grants of generally up to
$40,000 each and funds
permitting may be extended by NBCI for up to $35,000 for a second year.
