Although ACRES USA is an excellent journal, it cannot be totally correct to
say it is totally organic in approach. It was started by Fred Walters' father,
Charles Walters, who has always been very strong against chemical POISONS, but
not against chemical fertilizers. There is a difference. Charles Walters had
some family member suffer from chemical poison, so that is a strong feature,
but he is not averse to the chemical fertilizers, ----as I found out years ago.

I have written for this journal, the family running it is excellent and honest
and well-meaning, with integrity, BUT it is not totally organic in approach.

In its book list, and most speakers at conferences, the approach is always
the same as that of the chemical fertilizer companies, farm advisors, soil test
people, etc.---that plants absorb nutrients as IONS, This is NOT true, and I
have fought it for years, now.

They have speakers and writers who continually harp on that ion-absorption
approach, which is false. They recomment soil tests, that are entirely based on
ion absorption, that is the basis of the chemical fertilizers. It is
HYPOCRITICAL to claim to be an organic grower and still depend on soil tests
that are inherently chemical fertilizer based.

I just can't understand the double standard this entails. Either you get
chemical fertilizers that are soluble , dissolving into ions in soil solution,
and you are a chemical fertilizer farmer, not organic, OR you recognize that
only molecules and particles are absorbed by plants, and these via endocytosis,
and are entitled to call your farming/gardening approach as organic.

Why don't people ever learn that the source of all lies is a personality that
is driving the whole world straight down to the final destruction--now right
around the corner at last.
