Ontario workshops: Does farm to fork management create a standard for Food

SPRING TECHNICAL MEETING
"Risk Management as a Food Safety Tool."

Technical sesstion to be held on Thursday, February 25, 1999 at the
Toronto Mariott Hotel, 901 Dixon Road, Airport, Toronto, Canada

The Ontatio Food Protection Association, sponsor this annual Technical
Session which again this year has leading experts in their fields bring
us up to date on current informative topics that are important to the
Food safety professional and the consumer alike. This year's speakers
include the following:

Mr. Steve West, President, Diversey Lever Canada, will be addressing
"Does farm to fork management create a standard for Food Safety?"

Dr. Michael Doyle (University of Georgia) a pre-eminent microbiologist
and a world class epidemologist who will share his vast experience with
us.

Dr. Andrea Ellis from Health Canada will recap a recent Salmonella
enteriditis associated with cheese recall in Canada .

In the afternoon, CFIA will explain the Canadian Partnership for
Consumer Food Safety Education's food safety campaign. The program is
called "Fight Bac" and has been quite successfully launched in the U.S.

Another keynote speaker from Kostouch Publications will cover the
Serv-Safe Program.

Rounding out the afternoon session will be presentations on the legal
aspects and using the media to save your reputation and your company in
a crisis.
