I am asking for advice in combating malarial mosquitoes on behalf of Dr.
Yeshi Dhonden, the Tibetan doctor I was recently privileged to see, when he
was here in NYC from his clinic in Dharamsala, India and Dr. Marsha Woolf,
a naturapath who works with him. According to Dr. Marsha Woolf (of The
Tibetan Refugee Health Care Project), they are having a terrible time at
the clinic in India with what she described as "DDT resistant" malarial
mosquitoes. Apparently many people are dying of malaria there. She was
wondering if there is something that mosquito netting can be treated with
to combat the mosquitoes?
I was wondering, further if there are any sustainable, organic, and/or
biodynamic treatments that anyone on the list is aware of that could be of
some help, not just to treat the mosquito nets, but the people and area in
general? I would imagine they need both short and long-term solutions. If
anyone has any suggestions at all, or contacts who could be of some
assistance, I would be very grateful to be able to pass this information on
to Dr. Woolf.
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Jane Sherry
