What an interesting story you have. I am so enjoying these stories
that people are sending me. Sorry to hear that people have flamed
you on either end of the spectrum. I agree with the Scott M. Peck
who wrote in the book _The Road Less Traveled_ how every committement
to a way of seeing the world is a religion and hence every war is a
religious war. It isn't easy to step back from dogma. We all need
to be open to the realities that individuals are facing out there,
and if there are limits to organics (at least as we currently know
how to do it) then we have to be open to that. Any farmer with as
much practical experience as you have and with a general orientation
toward organics should have a lot of valuable info to share. Just
out of curiosity, have you shared some of the specific limitations to
farming organic apples in the Ozarks on Sanet? There may be organic
solutions out there you haven't heard of yet that could work. I
think that wholly organic is at least a goal one should be aspiring
to, even if one compromises with other practices in the meantime.
The bottom line to anything is that it has to WORK (and work well).
