The "organic movement" is full of heroes, and of characters. Some of them are
committed, some should be. <G> I personally believe that as a planet we've
passed the ecological point of no return, but that doesn't mean I'm going to
stop trying. I just no longer let it get my blood pressure up when it seems
like there's no way to win. One just never knows when the little bit one
person does is going to be the little bit that turns a tide. And when I'm
standing on God's hand faced with the question "And what did you do to say
thanks for the life I gave you?" I'll have an answer.

Today it was "I cleaned and baby-proofed a goat barn and spent an hour sitting
in the fresh straw while all around me the herd chewed their cuds and took
turns coming over to me for their share of skritchies and outside the snow
fell in silence." That's a valid answer, too.

Besides, this growing thing -- and especially the community farm thing -- it's
fun!
