The Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF) is a grassroots,
non-profit based in Davis, CA working to build a movement of rural and
urban people to foster family scale agriculture that cares for the land,

sustains local economies and promotes social justice. CAFF is currently
looking fortwo highly motivated individuals to join our development
department:

The DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR is responsible for designing and implementing a

diverse fundraising strategy including membership, corporate and planned

giving campaigns and special events. CAFF has a strong track record in
securing foundation funding and, more recently, government contracts. We

are looking for a development director who can oversee existing
fundraising and develop a plan to further diversify and strengthen our
funding base. Minimum 3 years fundraising experience including staff and

volunteer management required.

The GRANTS ASSISTANT works with the Grants Coordinator to prepare grant
proposals and reports to funders and maintains files and databases.
Excellent writing and computer skills necessary. Familiarity with
sustainable agriculture and rural issues a plus. This is an excellent
opportunity for a motivated individual with strong writing skills and an

interest in sustainable agriculture to learn valuable fundraising
skills. The Grants Assistance will have an opportunity to take on
increased responsibility for working to secure and maintain foundation
grants and government contracts as skills and familiarity with the
organization’s mission and programs develop.
