In the first paragraph of my letter yesterday, I made a gross error in
the statement on when a two digit year will start repeating itself. I was
interrupted several times as I was writing that and confused myself.

The sentence that starts "In systems where that value started as a zero
and is stored in a four bit byte..." should read as follows:

In a system where that value is stored in two four bit bytes in BCD
format, it will roll over back to zero once it passes the maximum number
that can be stored in two four bit bytes; 99. So that would be good until
2080.

Going to another method used for storing the number, plain binary in a
single 8 bit byte where the eight bit is used as a sign bit, the maximum
number that could be stored would be 127. Again if starting at zero for
1980, that system would be good through 2107.

Now to send this out and download any "corrections" those who caught my
error may have sent.
