Value-added marketing is gaining increased attention by a number of
farmers. Dried fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and herbs are some of
the products that can be raised at a small-scale and create a
profitable income through value-added food processing
and creative packaging.
Typically, however, the dehydration equipment commonly available is
inadequate - it's either too small (home-scale) or too large
(industrial-sized).
Does anyone know of equipment suppliers in the U.S. (or abroad), of
small to medium-size dehydrators for farms? Or, publications
that provide designs for such dryers?
Any info will be appreciated! I will pass it along to
the folks who requested this info.
Thanks sanet!
