Sanet,
I just got back from the National No Tillage Conference in St Louis. It
was evident that sustainable trends are ever so slowly creeping in
mainstream agriculture. One 8,500 acre grower puts in 3,000 acres of
cover crops! The cover crop roundtables and sessions were well attended.
Soil health was also a stimulating and popular topic.
Having Dick and Sharon Thompson and Andy Clark (sanet coordinator) as
presentors is a sign of a good direction and renewed interest in
sustainable ideas. Growing alternative crops was another point of
interest.
