As far as I know the reasearch hasn't been done/completed on blood.

One thing I do know is that prions have been found in incinerator
emmissons/ash (they've been burning up the corpses of mad cows over here in
blighty. Whether or not these prions are active has not been researched yet,
but as they are known to survive 6 successive sterilizations (tests done on
medical equipment after autopsies) it is likely that they do.

The message. Don't abuse Mother Nature.
