I'm working with a committee to organize a conference for farmers and others
on developing direct marketing skills for the new millennium. The meeting
will take place in November 1999. (Will post conference details soon.)
My committee would like to find two keynote speakers to inspire our
audience. We are looking for farmers or folks "in the field" who have had
success with alternative marketing systems ... perhaps one farmer with
small- and one with a medium-sized system, so we can show success on
different scales. We'd also like to find someone from our region --
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska,
North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin -- if possible. It would be
ideal to have a producer who'd be good at identifying "customers" -- and
making them reachable!
Although I've outlined specific qualities above, we *are* open to a variety
of suggestions.
