Hello San-netters!

I am currently gathering information for upcoming issues of
The International Ag-Sieve whch will deal with 'extension'
and 'appropriate technology'. I know there is a wealth of
information out there, and what we're looking for are
published or unpublished papers, technical reports, or data
summaries of the latest going on in the field. We ecspecially
like information that deals with specific case studies that
can serve as concrete examples to our readers. Our goal is to
spread useful, practical information that has a proven,
scientific foundation and is applicable in remote areas with
tropical, or arid conditions.

In the International Ag-Sieve we identify, summarize and
reference innovative sustainable agriculture research and
extension work in the Third World. The purpose of this
newsletter is to sort through information and research
focusing on sustainable agricultural practices, and to share
that information with rural development and field workers. A
French edition of the newsletter called "Entre Nous", is
published out of Thies, Senegal. We do not seek to provide
"recipes", but to promote ideas and discussion and to provide
our readers with a mechanism to share their own experiences
with success.

We're currently in the final stages of putting together our
livestock issue. If you are interested in our work, or are
curious to see the sorts of articles we're in need of, you can
check us out through e-mail.
Send e-mail with the text (not subject ) reading:

subscribe agsieve
to almanac@parti.inforum.org

and you should begin receiving our most recent articles. Up
coming articles will include "Nutrient Cycling in the Sahel",
"Sheep Husbandry and Healthcare Among Tzotzil Maya
Shepherdesses" and "Unconventional Feedstuffs".

We'd love to have your input and feedback on articles!
If you have papers or reports on work your doing that could
be useful to us with our upcoming issues, or if you would like
further information about the Ag-Sieve, you may contact me
directly.

Thanks!
