Splitting the list

Well, I partially agree with Gabriel's suggestion of splitting the list. I do
agree that the proposed split would solve the problems some experience, altho
personally I find my delete function coupled with good subject lines solves the
dilemma. My biggest problem is my own interest.

However, I think it's a mistake to set up questions as a separate list. To do
so limits the likely traffic to those who either have a pressing question or to
those who out of the kindness of their hearts or a need to be helpful to others
will subscribe and read "sanet-questions", hoping to have something to offer.
I suggest leaving questions as a part of "sanet-discussion", to enlarge the
pool of possible knowledgable respondents to questions. If we don't, I think
"sanet-questions" would die a slow quiet death, and I appreciate the ability
to gain from the knowledge of this group too much to want to see that happen.

So, I support a split into two groups, one for announcements, one for
those interested in greater interaction (discussion).
