mass quantities of mail

I sympathize with those who struggle with the ethernet commands and
the vast quantities of verbage that piles up in your mail utility if
you get to busy to clean house every day.

Personally, I have enjoyed the discussions about BGH over the past few
days. I have also found myself spending more time than I had wanted to
reading my email.

I have a suggestion. I also subscribe to ACTIV-L, an activists mailing
list that send out a daily index of articles posted to the listserv. The
articles are named and numbered and the subject line and sender are displayed
so you can select those articles you are interested in and record the number.
You can then send a command file back to the listserv and request the full
text of those articles which you wish to read in full. This is received in
a few seconds or minutes.

I have no idea how difficult it is for the listserv to set up such a system
but I feel that it would be a good idea for sanet to use such an index.

Thank you all for listening.
