We are each free to draw our own conclusions. I'm sure I'm not the only
one who would question objectivity when money from the
maunfacturer of a drug has been offered to and accepted by someone
involved in evaluating the safety of said drug.
As to falsification of data - I have read accounts of other researchers
who collected data that might have been cause for concerns about safety
being "silenced". Some may consider such claims ridiculous paranoia. I
consider them plausible, and not at all surprising whenever there are
potential profits to be made.
