To quickly clarify an incorrect impression that might have been left by the
Washington Post (Page 16) article this morning: The Cooperative State
Research Service IS NOT being eliminated in the FY 1995 budget. The
$23 million funding reduction shown for CSRS in the Post article
represents a combination of program reductions and increases typical of
this stage of the budget process; however, the $23 million figure is not
even correct.
Dr. Jordan will discuss the FY 1995 President's Budget Proposal in his
briefing for CSRS employees at 1:00 PM Monday, February 7, in Room 338.
