I am interested in the topic of sustainable community development and would
like to know what kind of info you receive as a result of your request. I
have one document, called "Greenprint for a Sustainable Economy" or
something like that. I think I have more than one copy left and I could
send you one if I do. This is a handbook that was written in 1990 at the
end of Jim Hightower's term as Commissioner of the Texas Department of
Agriculture. It is packed with new ideas, most of which did not have a
chance to be implemented because of the change in administrations. If you
send me a mailing address, I could send you a copy if I have an extra one.
I doubt you could get one from the TX agency. Could you also keep me
informed of what materials you collect? I am finishing my graduate studies
and am currently conducting research in sustainable agriculture as a rural
development strategy. Many thanks!

I have a colleague, Laurie Dawson, who is interested in the following:
1. Community development tool kits for sustainable community development.
2. Participatory action research as used in the development of sustainable
rural communities (she is interested in resources, effective techniques,
resource people, and organizations, particularly - but not limited to -
Canada and the U.S.).
Please send any information or comments which you might have on these
subjects
to Laurie at my e-mail address. Her mailing address is Rural Education and
Development Association, 14815 119 Ave., Edmonton, Alberta T5L 2N9, Canada.
Thanks!
