The Plant Science Department of McGill University's Faculty of
Agricultural and Environmental Sciences invites applications for a
tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in Forage Crops,
with emphasis on sustainable crop production beginning September 1,
1994.
Possible areas of focus include forage crop improvement through
traditional breeding or biotechnology, forage management, field ecology
or resource conservation for improved crop production. The starting
salary for this position is $40,980 CDN per year.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in the agricultural or related sciences
with experience related to forage crops. Knowledge of the French
language is a definite asset. The successful candidate will be expected
to develop an active research program in an area related to forage
crops. Teaching responsibilites will include undergraduate courses in
forage crops and sustainable crop production (or related courses), and
a graduate course in the candidate's area of expertise.
