ity animals are an effective way to recycle crop residues, kitchen
waste, etc. Factory farming of livestock is obviously not
sustainable. Lower densities are another matter. Smaller Euuropean
farms traditionally kept a milk cow and a few pigs around,
speeding the recycling of crop residues, kitchen wastes, etc.
