Just so we're all clear -

I don't necessarily believe that we all have to
give up meat completely. I do believe that we could improve things ALOT
in terms of environmental impact, animal welfare, and human health, if we
were to cut down by say, 50%, and stopped factory farming, which is how
most food animals are raised.

I never said I thought we should try to support
more people than are already on this earth - I purposely left that one
open, though sustainability is certainly what I would aim for, and that
would involve negative population growth.

As for personal enjoyment of meat, fine - but I don't think it's fair for
anyone who suffers a heart attack, high blood pressure, etc. to expect
someone like myself who bothers to eat a healthful diet to pay higher
insurance rates because of that person's poor dietary choices.
