Assistant or Associate Professor
Nutrition Policy
Description: The Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University seeks
a faculty member in the area of nutrition policy. This 12-month tenure-track
position involves undergraduate/graduate teaching and research related to
nutrition policy in the United States. Areas of interest can include
analysis of policy formation, comparative nutrition policy systems, or the
relationships between nutrition policies and other policy domains such as
public health, agriculture, environment, human services, or social
welfare.Potential nutrition topics may include but are not limited to food
insecurity,nutrition services, dietary guidance, and food and nutrition laws
and regulations. This person will contribute a strong conceptual base in
policy to the Division's newly expanded focus in Nutrition Interventions and

Qualifications: Doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Dr.P.H., J.D., Sc.D.) in a
relevant field. Demonstrated evidence of scholarly contributions in
nutrition policy and the ability to apply relevant theoretical and
methodological perspectives in examining nutrition policy is required.
Academic training in policy and nutrition is highly desirable, but may be
substituted for by relevant knowledge and experience. Knowledge of nutrition
intervention programs is also desirable. The focus of this position is
nutrition policy in the U.S., although experience and study in other
countries may be relevant.
