Dear SANnetters:
Your responses to my message of 28 December, asking for comments
on my writing projects concerning sustainable ag, USDA, land
grants, and CES, have been manifold and gratifying. You would
have heard back from me immediately if I hadn't picked up a truly
impressive case of the 'flu during a recent trip to the cotton
fields of California (a case which I then proceeded to spread to
Chicago and, now, Maryland, thus speeding up the entire Centers
for Communicable Disease schedule for this year's killer 'flu).
This is to say thank you, and you'll be hearing from me, either
by phone (for those of you who suggested that as the best way to
talk) or by e-mail, or, in a few cases, in person. I'm truly
impressed by all the thought, concern, and information that's out
there. Thanks again.
