Post Doc. in Environmental and Resource Economics, Department of
Agricultural Economics. This is a two-year teaching/research position for
person with a PhD training in environmental and natural resource economics,
research interests in economic policy issues related to resource mgt. and
regulations, and an interest and ability to teach and provide leadership to
grad. and undergrad. students. The successful candidate is expected to (1)
develop a research program pertaining to economic policy issues related to
natural resources, environmental impact of agriculture and regional
development; (2) develop inter-departmental research in environmental and
nat. resource issues; and (3) teach courses in economics of natural
resources, operational research and another subject area related to the
his/her interest. A PhD in Ag. or Resource Econ. or a closely related
field and a good knowledge of French are required. Salary is competitive
and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications accepted

The Catholic U. of Louvain is located 20 miles south of Brussels in
Louvain-la-Neuve and enrolls 20,000 students. The Dept. of Ag. Econ. is
located in the College of Ag. which has a total of nearly 1,000 students
obtaining the degree of "Inginieur Agronome" after five years of study.
