Subject: Plant Diagnostic Center Software

We are in the initial stages of developing a networked plant diagnostic
process which will serve Extension Agents and Specialists located in
various discipline departments and at scattered county locations throughout
Nebraska. We want to use a simple piece of software for plant/client data
input, either at the receiving specialist's office or possibly starting out
at the county office. The information would be stored centrally on one of
our network file servers, becoming accessible to all plant specialists
on the network to report out diagnostic results. Field staff could review
or retrieve results from the data base. Ideally, the software would also
track billing/accounting information as well.

We hope to create an "artificial" Plant Diagnostic Center by simply connecting
the relevant weeds, plant path, entomology specialists etc. together for
joint diagnosis and reporting.

Anyone customized, or cut code, for a similar project? We run a 1000+ node
Token Ring network on campus and to our research centers, with modem access
for counties.
