I have had to move the US Organic Agriculture Message Board; The
previous Board Provider has, unfortunately, been going up and down--
Therefore, as of today, the US Organic Agriculture Message Board is
located at:
http://www.paradise-web.com/plus/plus.mirage?who=lray
This new software, while considerably more expensive, has a
strong and steady track record, is quite straightforward and is easy to
use, and comes highly recommended by folks who have used it for a long
time. There will be no more pop-up banners or other distractions, and it
is very clean and easy.
Unfortunately, because the old board has remained down, I have
not been able to reach it to salvage the posts and move them onto the
new location.
Therefore, please come to the new link (above) and re-post your
messages on the US Organic Agriculture Message Board!
Thank you everyone for your wonderful patience, and please do
spread the word about this Message Board. The Board will be publicly
announced, thanks to Allan Balliet (of BDNOW) and Leora Radding (of
Acres,USA) in the January issue of Acres, USA, which comes out at the
end of December :-) !
My Best Regards,
Linda Ray, Founder

Below is the original Board Announcement message, sans the now-defunct
links--
Ref: The Purpose of the Board--
****************************************************************
Seems to me, that if more farmers could sell directly to
consumers, both Farmer and consumer would be much better off. Sort of a
way to get personal with your local foodgrower. Therefore, I have begun
an Organic Agriculture Message Board, based in but not confined to the
US, for Producers to communicate directly to consumers what they have
available, and where consumers can post what they are looking for in the
way of produce...
I invite you all to check it out by following the link above. At
this moment it is pristine, with only a few messages on it. I encourage,
request, and hope that you will utilize the board. Please do post
whatever you grow, beekeep, or ranch, and hence wish to make available,
onto the board.
If, on the other hand, you are looking for non-hybrid corn in 50# bags
from some farmer somewhere and haven't found it yet, please do post on
the board what you are seeking.
It is my personal feeling that each of us would benefit by being in
closer touch with sources of a clean food supply. I see this as a way to
facilitate that contact.
Don't mean to ramble, I'm just trying to get it across. Go look-- And
please post.
Spread the word around to your friends and farmer friends. This is my
personal effort to assist the family farm and facilitate the farmer in
reaching consumers directly, and vice versa.
PS: This is not a commercial endeavor on my part. I offer the board as a
free service. My desire is that it will directly benefit the
hardworking, full-hearted folks I have met in my various Agricultural
travels. Here's to you...
Namaste,
Linda
