tremendous growth in UK farmers' markets

Those of you who helped me with my tour of farmers' markets in the
US, will be pleased to hear of the tremendous success of farmers'
markets in the UK. In September, the UK had its first farmers'
market in the City of Bath - there are now 20 such markets, and we
expect this number to double in 1999. Between us, we have handled
over 1,000 enquiries, and dealt with over 25 national media
interviews.
Thank you once again to everyone who helped and advised me on the
tour, which resulted in a book, video and web-site.
Best wishes
Harriet Festing
