Hog Thoughts, Greg's book, and US Organic Agriculture Message Board Info

Hi Greg!

Thank you for posting on the US Organic Ag Message Board.
I had some thoughts and wanted to share them with you..

May I suggest that you consider putting your hogs on there
(the message board) direct? If you can do it, I'd love to see them out
there. If you don't want to ship, sell them for pickup only. Whatever
gets them moving. You never know.

I also wanted to suggest-- Have you considered curing hams,
bacon, etc. and then selling them direct? Westphalian hams go for
$12.00/lb retail here in S. Fla. in specialty shops. Curing salt is
cheap. Make an agreement with some old-timer who knows all about it,
then give him or her a percentage for every piece sold. would that work
within your setting?

About your proposed book: I'd sit down as if talking to my son.
While mentally talking, outline in brief (in writing) the points that
you would want to make clear, and write them down in the order in which
they come to mind, since you are the one with experience and this is the
order in which it becomes relevant (most of the time). When you get to
the end of making it clear, you now have the outline for a book. Each
outline heading becomes a chapter. Meditate on each heading, one by one,
write it (or tape it aloud and write it later) and you have your book.

Ref the Message Board: I'm working to get that pop-up window out
of there, just FYI-- I didn't realize what a distraction that would be.
So it's going away as fast as I can get rid of it. There will be a
stationary banner instead. At this time, the messages are wiped off of
the board every week automatically-- In retrospect, I can now see that
this should have been a much longer period, so I'll change it to a
longer period as soon as I can. Til then, please check now and then and
re-post your message if it disappears.

Lastly, please spread the word to folks about the Message Board.
